Vintage Gold Filled Jewelry Heart Locket, WWII NAVY Sweetheart Jewelry, Photo Keepsake

Lovely vintage WWII era retro sweetheart locket from the 1940s is constructed
of heavy gold fill on and with sterling silver. The heart locket drops from a
solid bar pin with the word NAVY. The eagle and crossed anchors insignia on the
locket is one of a commanding officer. The gold and silver create contrast and
highlight for this finely made military sweetheart jewelry.

This is a rare gift in wonderful condition to honor the memory of a family
member or for a commanding officer to give his beloved sweetheart.

Era: 1940s
Measurements: Total size is 36mm N-S, 43mm E-W. Bar pin is 43mm by7mm. Pin
about 30mm.
Locket is 19mm in diameter.
Weight: 8.6g.
Markings: Amico 1/20 10K GonS.
Precious metal: Sterling silver with 10K yellow gold fill.

More info: The locket closure is in working order; it closes with a
perceptible snap. Pin on bar has a safety catch.
It contains neither bezel frame rings nor photo covers.
We have removed some of the patina, to better reveal the fine design and outer
condition, front and back. Someone went through great effort to remove the 10k
inside the locket (see photo) most likely in an effort to determine if it was
all gold. They obviously lacked understanding of the marks and the era in which
this beauty was made.
