This hand knotted Mala is made of 108 Rhodonite, Rose Quartz and Howlite 6mm
beads. It has a Howlite 8mm guru bead and a soft cotton tassel.

A Mala is usually made of 108 beads, a guru bead and a tassel. The number 108
is considered sacred for many reasons and it is said to be the number of the
wholeness of existence. Originally a mala was used as a tool to count mantras
during meditation in order to keep focused. Even if you don’t use a mala for
your meditation, they can still be a great help as the stones have healing
properties. You choose a mala for a certain period in your life, depending on
your needs. Use your intuition to pick the mala that will guide and protect you.

Howlite is a very calming stone and is used when needing to reduce anxiety,
tensions and stress and makes an excellent antidote to insomnia due to an
active mind. It is said to facilitate awareness, encourage emotional expression
and assist in the elimination of pain and rage.
Howlite brings mental awareness, both to current and past-life issues, and
facilitates a calm communication of these issues. Howlite strengthens positive

- The length of a 6mm beads mala is approximately 32"
- The length of a 8mm beads mala is approximately 40"
A tassel plus guru bead is approximately 3"

Due to the stones being all natural, sizes can vary slightly. Beads that say
6mm may actually measure anywhere in the range of 5.5-6.5mm.
Beads that say 8mm may measure anywhere in the range of 7.5-8.5mm. The final
length of the Mala depends on the size of the beads.
