Handforged Copper and Brass Wild Rose Statement Bib Necklace

I love wild roses with their crazy, sprawling beauty and tried to recreate
this in my handmade necklace.
I began with a handformed ancient inspired U bar with spirals at each end.
The wild rose was handcut and soldered together then I added the handmade
silver bars to represent the inside of the flower. The metal has been burnished
and flame painted to give a dimensional appearance.
The flower was soldered to a piece of brass that was rolled at the top and
treated with fire.
All pieces have been hand rubbed with jewelry wax and dried.
The entire necklace is 24 inches long including the 2 inch pendant. The rose
is about 1 inch across. The U shaped piece is about 3 1/2 inches across by 2
1/2 ,inches long. The clasp and link were made by me.
The piece can be lengthened or shortened if requested.
All my jewelry comes in a white gauze bag or small box that is perfect for
gift giving.
