gift. This high quality Edwardian date hallmarked 9 carat yellow locket is
inscribed with the initials F M. Assayed for purity at Birmingham in 1905 this
elegant keepsake locket would make the most adorable christening / baptism
present. The original frames, purple backings and clear portrait protectors are
present. The shield cartouche and shield shape symbolise the desire of the
donor to protect the wearer. The front is embellished with acanthus leaves. The
back is ornamented with ivy leaves. Acanthus leaves represent everlasting life.
Deep friendship, fidelity and wedded bliss have been represented by the
depiction of ivy leaves for hundreds of years. The hinge and catch work
perfectly. The maker, Albert Ernest Jenkins, is well known for exquisite
lockets.

We have included an ornate necklace and so this portrait locket can be worn
immediately.
