1880-1900 HALLMARKED BIRMINGHAM LONDON Victorian Antique Silver Locket Necklace

GORGEOUS VICTORIAN ANTIQUE LOCKET & CHAIN
Locket and bale are both Hallmarked for Birmingham London.
I cannot read the date letter on the locket, but is likely to be Circa
1880-1900
It is quite a large locket at 6cm x 3cm (including bale).
Beautifully chased and embossed it is truly VERY EYECATCHING.
The chain measures 42cm long and the link style is really nice- I have only
ever seen this style in gold.

Condition: There is a very small ding on the front and a few small ones on the
back.
This does not detract from its beauty and is reasonable to expect from
something that is this old. If it looked perfect, people would think it was a
reproduction!

Weight is 21.3 grams. This is the average weight for these style of antique
lockets- they were never really heavy. I have sold a few Victorian lockets on a
chain and they have all been under 30grams.
Their value is in their historicity and beauty-not in their scrap weight!
