Dumortierite is a stone of patience - said to have the ability to assist the
wearer to overcome hardships and find solutions to problems. In folkore,
Dumortierite is the stone of those how stand up for themselves. A talisman if
ever there was one.

Traditionally, malas, or prayer beads, come as a string of 108 beads (plus one
for the "guru bead"). A mala is used for counting when repeating a mantra—much
like the Catholic rosary.
